We welcome you to get involved with us doing something you enjoy or feel called to do. Your participation makes a difference. Here are some suggestions:
Fitness Groups
From Zumba and Line Dancing, to Tai Chi and Yoga, to family hikes and Youth dances, Olivet offers a variety of fitness activities to please young and old.

Coffee Time
Olivet holds a coffee time in the parlour right after Sunday service from September to June. It's a time for refreshment and fellowship. There is juice and cookies for the children and tea and Fair Trade coffee for adults. There are different hosts for Coffee Time each week. Contact the coordinator, Murray A, if you are able to help serve and clean up.
Supper's ready
This event takes place about four times a year. Members of the church prepare supper followed by a lively service in the sanctuary, featuring Olivet's Praise Band. Please contact Brenda B, the coordinator, if you are able to assist.
Spiritual growth
There is potential for all age groups to explore different aspects of spirituality within the Christian context. How do we learn to be better Christians? Through what avenues can we explore our faith and the issues in our lives? How can we lead our youth into richer spiritual lives?

Music
Music is an important part of worship and our lives overall. Consider joining the choir or contributing your ability with a musical instrument to church services. Develop your singing voice or playing skills. Encourage your children, grandchildren or young people you know to organize an Olivet children's choir. Would you like to learn to play the bells or conduct a bell choir? Speak to our Director of Music to investigate possibilities.

Stewardship
Expressing our thanks for God's gifts to us through our gifts of time, talents and money helps to define us as Christians.

United Church Women (UCW)
Mission: Comfort and caring, through service and sharing
The UCW is open to all women of Olivet. Women who are interested in joining or forming a unit are asked to contact the church office.
Knitters and crafters keep our craft cupboard well supplied. Funds raised by the UCW are donated to Olivet's Health and Healing Ministry and other charitable organizations within the City of Hamilton.
Other ways to be involved at Olivet
Collating, assisting in the office, candle lighting, serving coffee, joining a committee, reading scripture, ushering & greeting, decorating, counting offering, operating sound system, and operating the projector for PowerPoint presentations are just some of the examples of ways to lend a hand. Call the church office for more information.
